more sketches

These sketches were done this last week. The pot sketches were studies to be used for a still life painting. The caricature is of Jon Stewart done just for the fun of it.

sketches

Heres a couple sketches I had done a while back. The one of the pot is a quick study for a still life I'll be painting. The one of Obama, not sure what inspired that one, but it was fun. And the other one is just a little figure study that was to be used for a painting, but I never got around to it.

A couple of randoms for you guys. The top one is just a quick caricature study. Then theres a drawing I posted earlier, but this one was the actual drawing in water colors. and below that is the preliminary pencil sketch. And finally, theres a drawing of two "condom people" I drew those for a friend of mine, she lives in the dorms and was making door decorations for her residents. She's in atheletic training, and is the free condom person for her dorm.

Drunk Fairy B-day present

This was a piece I did for a friends birthday present. Needless to say, she loved it.

Live Caricature Flier

This is just a little flier I did in hopes to send it out to various potential clients. It's a compilation of a few drawings I did this summer. Nothing too fancy, but I figured I need to get around to making it sooner or later.

Still Life

Here's an older still life I did in chalk pastels. I thought I would mix it up a little bit today.

Misunderstood

This was an older drawing I did. Just a fun piece of the kid tested mother not-so-much approved Frankenstein. I was just playing around with the charcoal since I hadn't used it in some time. I was hoping that it wasnt going to be one of those "if you dont use it, you lose it" sort of deals. I think it turned out okay.

Caricatures in acrylic

Here's a painting i did of a classmate. The assignment was just to paint your partner, but I thought I would do a caricature. During the critique a girl in my class, who is a studio art major, had no reservations about telling me how much artistic merit the piece had. It was kind of funny.
