valleyfair

I decided it was time to do another self caricature to be used out at Valleyfair the other day. For whatever reason, I thought it would be great to see what I would look like 150 pounds heavier stuffing my face with funnel cakes. I've had a couple customers already who actually recognized me in it, but not to many find any humor in it. Oh well. The other drawings are a couple customers I drew this last week that turned out okay.

Doodles

The first one is a little drawing I did out at Valleyfair yesterday. It's one of those things that a live caricature artist might hear more often than he/she would like. The second one was an attempt at political cartooning. Stylistically I'm not to thrilled about it. I thought it was just a little hillarious how Rev. Jesse Jackson accused Obama of looking down on African Americans, and he went on to say something about how Obama should have his "nuts cut off" Seems very Christian of him.

Here's a couple drawings I did recently. The first is a drawing of the Colonel mascot from Valleyfair. After years of being mistreated and drinking and getting high on the job, the Colonel Ohoompapa packs it in and heads for the city to find his true calling as a hobo. The second drawing was more of a sketch I did out at the park after seeing a crew of fat kids running past my booth.

Larry King

Here's a little experiment I pulled out of my butt today. I really wanted to mix the the hand made quality of drawing and watercolors with a more vector look. I really like how the soft colors play off each other.

Sketchbook mayhem continued.

More sketchbook stuff along with a study of the all powerful Chuck Norris.

Sketchbook mayhem!!!

Heres a few pages from my sketchbook. These are mostly done out at Valleyfair, but the nude figures of course were not. Perhaps someday...
