all nighters

Today, I am going to take a short while to lament on the tragic event of having to pull all nighters. This topic has relevance to me this particular day as I had to burn the midnight oil last night to finish up a painting project. There are times when I really enjoy pulling an all nighter if I had a good nights rest the day before, or if I know there will be an opprotunity to take a nap the next day. It allows for one to work for many hours with few distractions unless your household is plagued by insomniacs. Well, I was able to work a ton with out any distractions, however, it was done so much at the cost of my health and mental prowess for today. The brain isn't quite running 100% yet and I feel a cold coming on. But I guess that is the life of an art major. I'll post the painting I'm working on for your viewing pleasure. It's the first painting in a diptych that will be illustrating a contrast between the downtrodden, broken, fruitless people of the world and a person who may not be rich or the most successful, but has a full life with family and friends. I'm not sure where I got the idea, but I'm pretty excited to get started on the second painting today. We'll see how it goes.
